The Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta (MAPOLY), Tokunbo Fowode, has read the  riot act to the students against cultism and examination malpractice.

Fowode who spoke during the matriculation of 5,000 students recently admitted into the institution for 2012/2013 academic session, warned the new students against abuse of their freedom.

He said the students should not misconstrue their freedom in the school as it doesn’t translate to absence of control.

He further told them that they are on a journey of self transformation and learning which, according to him, will give them tools to become more effective persons for the society.

He said: “Let me quickly sound a note of warning that freedom does not mean absence of control.

”You are embarking on a momentous journey of self transformation and learning that will give you the tools to become more effective for yourselves, your society and the nation.”
